What Secure Transport Includes
Secure transport is more than a faster label. It combines physical protection, defined procedures and human oversight, with insurance on top. The table shows each layer and what it gives you.
| Layer | What it is | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Armored transport | Secure vehicles built for valuable and sensitive shipments | Protection while the shipment is on the road |
| Controlled handoff | Careful pickup and delivery with defined security procedures | A clear chain of custody at every handover |
| Door-to-door oversight | Protection and coordination from origin to final destination | One team accountable for the whole journey |
| Professional security | Security personnel where a shipment calls for it | Added protection for the most sensitive shipments |
| Full-value insurance | Coverage on the declared value, up to $150,000 | Financial protection if something goes wrong |

Why Insurance Alone Is Not Enough
Insurance pays after a loss. Secure transport reduces the chance of a loss in the first place. A provider that only sells insurance on top of a standard carrier label cannot control how the shipment is handled on the road, who holds it at each step or how it is handed over.
Unival combines secure transportation, full-value insurance and hands-on support in one service, managed by one team. That is the difference between being compensated for a loss and keeping the shipment safe to begin with.
Choosing the Right Level of Protection
Not every shipment needs the same level of security. The right mix depends on what is being shipped and how it needs to move. These are the main factors:
- Value: the higher the value, the more protection is worth arranging.
- Sensitivity: some goods, such as cash or irreplaceable pieces, call for tighter control of every handover.
- Route: the origin, the destination and the distance affect which protection is available.
- Timing: deadlines and delivery windows shape how the shipment is arranged.

Availability by Route
The level of protection that can be arranged depends on the route. Tell us the pickup address and the destination when you request a quote, and we will confirm what is available, including whether armored transport or security personnel can be arranged for your shipment.
For smaller valuables that travel as a parcel, see our page on high-value parcel shipping.
Tracking and Support
Every shipment is tracked from pickup to delivery, and every scan is visible. You can follow it on our tracking page, and there is a person to call while it moves.
What Affects the Cost of Secure Transport?
The price depends on the declared value, the route, the level of protection arranged and the delivery timing. Insurance follows the declared value, and secure transport and security personnel are priced according to what the shipment needs.
We quote each shipment before it moves. Get a quote with the contents, the declared value, the pickup location and the destination.
How to Prepare a Shipment for Secure Transport
Good preparation makes secure transport smoother and any later claim simpler. Before the shipment moves, check the following:
- Keep the invoice, appraisal or other proof of value for the contents.
- Photograph the contents and record serial numbers, weights or certificates where they exist.
- Seal the shipment in plain packaging with no mention of the contents on the outside.
- Agree who will hand over and who will receive the shipment, and have identification ready.
- Declare the full, accurate value. Under-declaring can reduce what is paid out in a claim.
